A Falkland fundraising finish!

We’re delighted to receive the continued support of the Stark family, Fife Athletic Club and many keen athletes from the Fife area.

Each year in winter, the special Bob Stark Memorial 5K Run is held around the village and estate of Falkland in Fife where Bob, a popular and dedicated member of Fife Athletic Club lived.

This unique run, organised by Fife Athletic Club, is dedicated to Bob’s memory, and over 160 runners usually take part.  The route winds through the scenic Falkland Estate with an iconic finish in the grounds of Falkland Palace.  An adapted run, the Bob Stark Memorial Trail Race, was held on Sunday 12 December. At 7 miles, it was a longer than usual undulating route and enthusiastically tackled by talented athletes from Fife.

Each top three female and male athletes were rewarded with fantastic hand made slate medals.

Bob Stark Memorial Trail Race Prizes

We’re very grateful to receive the ongoing support of the organisers and athletes, who raised over £900 in aid of our work.  Over £7,400 has been donated to Prostate Scotland as the proceeds from the race over the last six years.  You can read more about the race here.

Our thanks go to Fife Athletic Club, Kirkcaldy Wizards, the race marshals, officials, helpers, Wayymark Ventures, Falkland Estate and National Trust for Scotland for their kind support.
