Thank you to our brilliant fundraiser Donald
Thank you to our brilliant fundraiser Donald Graham from Nairn for your efforts in aid of our work. We were delighted to receive the wonderful sum of £2,764.50!
Donald came up with the idea of a sponsored sleepout at Station Park, home of Nairn County Football Club in the Highlands. He decided to divide his fundraising between Prostate Scotland and the Urology Department at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. Donald braved the cold for 12 hours on 22 February, raising a spectacular £5,528 in total through donations to his fundraising page.
Nairn County chairman, Donald Matheson and Nairn County secretary Ian Finlayson also joined Donald.
Said Donald “I knew that when the first anniversary of my prostatectomy came up I had to do something positive to mark that date. The sleep out was something I thought was a good thing to do and I was rewarded with such generosity from so many people. Thank you to Nairn County for their support in assisting me “
A very big thank you Donald and to everyone who donated so generously to achieve such a magnificent fundraising total. Your support also helps us spread the word about the importance of prostate awareness in your community.
Our COMPASS support services available to men with prostate cancer living in the Highlands
Our COMPASS support services are available to men with prostate cancer living in the Highlands. We’ve teamed up with Maggie’s Highlands to offer our Living Well with Prostate Cancer Course. You can also speak to a Cancer Support Specialist. We’ve been able to support several men, and their families, and we’d like to help many more.
