Live at Carnegie Library!

Reserve your seat for an afternoon of fantastic live music at Dunfermline’s Carnegie Library and Galleries. Featuring a collective of hugely talented artists, this is a very special one-off performance to support our work on Sunday 28th September. We’d love you to join us!
Featuring artists who earlier supported Prostate Scotland in May at Dunfermline Fire Station Creative, tickets for Live at Carnegie are available to our supporters. MC Joe Parker from Radio West Fife will record the performance for a radio programme before a small audience. The radio programme will be broadcast in Fife, raising awareness of our work and support services.
There’s a full bill of music and storytelling including original songs to suit everyone’s music taste. Here’s a taster of what you can look forward to…
- Alan Forrester, songwriter, concert series’ founder and organiser
- Ron Halliday, author and broadcaster
- Sally Gall, a capella folk singer, who is inspired by folk songs she heard growing up which feel relevant to people today
- Poet Mari-Claire Traynor, Edinburgh based poet, emerging playwright and creative entrepreneur. Her writing reflects how she sees and experiences the world
- Dog on a Swing, the song writing name for Ed Ritchie who draws inspiration from life experience in his work. He has performed at various venues around Scotland over the years with a new solo performance show in the works
Also contributing songs for this broadcast:
- Norman Lamont, who you may be familiar with through our Euros song “We’re On Our Way!” last summer which he co-wrote/produced on
- Sandy Power, a powerful solo performer with exceptional song-writing talent
Date: Sunday 28th September
Doors: 1.30pm / Starts: 1.45pm. Recording will finish at approximately 3.30pm.
Tickets: Free of charge, available from Carnegie Library desk. Our thanks to Tina Beatson and staff
This event continues our long term fundraising with Alan Forrester, local musicians, Fire Station Creative, and Radio West Fife. The collaboration has raised over £5,000 and generated fantastic community engagement in Fife in the eight years since it began. A very heartfelt thank you to everyone involved – your efforts are much appreciated!
