We’re delighted to launch ‘PSA in Practice,’ a new quick-reference guide for primary care teams across Scotland.

The guide is designed for GPs and other healthcare professionals who may be involved in discussing PSA tests with men and trans women.

Please download ‘PSA in Practice’ here.

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men in Scotland, affecting one in ten. The disease can develop without symptoms, particularly in its earlier stages, meaning men may present with no obvious warning signs.

Designed to support busy practice teams, the guide includes:

  • Clear information to support discussions about PSA testing
  • Guidance tailored by age and recognised risk factors
  • Practical tools to support shared decision making
