Join the Prostate Scotland Squad and make a difference to prostate disease! With nearly one in two men likely to get prostate disease at some stage of their lives and over two men in Scotland dying from prostate cancer every day we continue to need support to take our work further. You can help us by running, cycling, walking, climbing, swimming or a combination of all 5(!) and fundraising in aid of Prostate Scotland!  Look at our list of organised events  – many of which we have free places for fundraisers in aid of Prostate Scotland.

Did you know that like the word marathon, the word prostate comes from the Greek? It means to lead from the front or to protect – so why not join the many others in The Prostate Scotland Squad/Team who are contributing energy, determination and enthusiasm in participating in sporting activity and fundraising to help us lead from the front in overcoming prostate disease. By running in a race such as a 5k, 10k, half marathon or marathon; or taking part in a challenge such as a cycle ride, going up a mountain, or walking a route such as the West Highland Way or the Lairig Ghru; by raising funds you can make a real difference.  For every £100 raised we can reach another 1000 people with information – step by step you can make a huge difference.

If you are daunted by the idea of taking part – don’t be – people who participate by running or cycling in aid of Prostate Scotland are made up of people like you and me – who just want to make a difference. Our fundraisers include people of all ages and experiences, from many who had never run a race before to some who have run several marathons – all bound together with one clear aim – to make a difference for those with prostate disease. (Please note however that for most events you must be over 18). Take a look at our events page for inspiration!
