Aden Allotments Take-Away Feed Mintlaw

Our heartfelt thanks to Aden Allotments and PGL Aberdeenshire East for their tremendous support. Their fundraising Take Away Feed event in August was a runaway success!  We were delighted to be joint beneficiaries of the event alongside local charity Clan Cancer Support.

Produce stall at Aden Allotments

Held at Aden Allotments in Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire, the event included live music, hot drinks, a raffle, a stall of craft and preserves, and a stall of fresh produce grown on the allotment.  Advance orders poured in for their delicious home baking, and they sold 200 Take-Away boxes!

PGL Aberdeenshire East and Lodge Leask 1084 ran the prostate information stand, and sold tickets for the raffle and for hampers.  As members of our partner organisation The Grand Lodge of Scotland, they fulfilled their aim of raising awareness of prostate disease, men’s health and our services.

Said Willie Bruce of Lodge Leask 1084 “we had a great day raising this money with the added benefit we were all able to meet up and chat with many folks in a safe, outdoor environment.”

We’re absolutely thrilled to receive a generous donation of £2,000 from the proceeds of the event.
