Why run for Prostate Scotland?

By running in aid of Prostate Scotland, you’ll help us in our work to tackle prostate cancer and disease: an important cause as nearly one in two men may get prostate disease at some stage in their lives. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in Scotland – with one in ten at risk.  The good news is that the survival rate from prostate cancer has been increasing and by supporting us, you’ll help us to help increase it further.

Women’s 10K Glasgow 2024: the route

The route starts at the spectacular setting of the Riverside Transport Museum, and then heads east along the River Clyde and takes in the scenic views. Iconic buildings to look out for include the Glasgow Science Centre, The Armadillo, The SECC and the SSE Hydro, and all within the first 2km.

You’ll then head under the Kingston Bridge…

…crossing over the Clyde via George V Bridge, and back via Glasgow Bridge as you approach the halfway point.  The second half of the route will take you past the south side of George Square and down towards Glasgow Green, crossing the Clyde twice more via Crown Street and Kings Bridge before heading back towards George Square where you’ll cross the finish line and receive your well earned medal, water and goody bag.

When you take part in the Women’s 10K Glasgow 2024, we’ll support you with:

  • Pre- race information about how to get sponsorship and fundraise and how to make it easy, safe and fun!
  • Specially designed Prostate Scotland running shirt or vest
