Men’s 10K Glasgow 2021

Event details

Date: 29th Aug 2021

Street Address: Riverside Transport Museum

City: Glasgow

Country: Scotland

With a firm focus on the many aspects of men’s health, the Men’s 10K Glasgow is a popular, well attended event with a route winding its way around the magnificent landmarks of Glasgow.  By running in aid of Prostate Scotland, you’ll help us in our work to tackle prostate cancer and disease: an important cause as nearly one in two men may get prostate disease at some stage in their lives.  Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in Scotland- with one in ten at risk.  The good news is that the survival rate from prostate cancer has been increasing and by supporting us, you’ll help us to help increase it further.

The route starts at the spectacular setting of the Riverside Transport Museum. and then heads east along the River Clyde and takes in the scenic views. Iconic buildings to look out for include the Glasgow Science Centre, The Armadillo, The SECC and the SSE Hydro, and all within the first 2km. The route then heads under the Kingston Bridge, crossing over the Clyde via George V Bridge, and back via Glasgow Bridge as you approach the halfway point.  The second half of the route will take you past the south side of George Square and down towards Glasgow Green, crossing the Clyde twice more via Crown Street and Kings Bridge before heading back towards George Square where you’ll cross the finish line and receive your well earned medal, water and goody bag.

Pictured here is our supporter Craig Conley, who ran the Men’s 10K Glasgow in 2017, 2018 and 2019.  Said Craig, “it was a great day and very inspirational and emotional for many.”
