Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2026

Join the Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2026 on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th May! With Edinburgh Castle as your backdrop, you’ll be warmly welcomed to the capital.

The Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2026 is a fantastic running event with a friendly and celebratory atmosphere, and well supported in Edinburgh and East Lothian – you’ll be cheered on by locals as you make your way from city to coast! It takes place over the Bank Holiday weekend of 23rd and 24th May, so you can enjoy a long weekend away too.

Five routes are available for all abilities: 5K, 10K, Relay, Half Marathon and Marathon
The flat and fast Half and Marathon routes offer real potential for you to run your personal best

If you’re new to running, how about trying the 5K or 10K, or getting together with friends or colleagues to try the Relay? Many of our supporters try the shorter distances before the longer ones. We’d love to hear from you whichever route you’d like to run. And we’ll keep in touch with you as the event approaches, with news of our work and words of encouragement!
