There is not much evidence in the scientific literature on the foods associated with BPH. However, starch, cereals (in particular bread), poultry, eggs, butter and milk may be associated with the risk of BPH development. Fruit consumption may protect against BPH.
Please note that if you wish to take supplements, it is advisable to check with your doctor first as some may react with/interfere with medicines you may have been be prescribed. Also recent research has suggested that vitamin supplements taken in very large doses may have increased health risks potentially by changing the body's way of working and reducing lifespan in some people. Also some studies have shown increased risk of recurrence of cancer.
